How to use
- Choose Men, Women or Kids — US sizing uses separate scales for each.
- Pick the size system you know (US, UK, EU, Japan or Korea) and your size; every other system appears below.
- If you measured your foot, enter its length in mm. The tool rounds up to the next 5 mm and selects that size.
- The full chart below highlights the selected row in bold.
How the size systems work
| System | Based on | Step |
|---|---|---|
| Korea (mm) | Foot length | 5 mm |
| Japan (cm) | Foot length — Korean mm ÷ 10 | 0.5 cm |
| US | Last (shoe form) length, with separate men’s, women’s and kids’ scales | half size ≈ 1/6 in (about 4.2 mm) |
| UK | Last length, one scale for men and women | half size ≈ 1/6 in |
| EU | Last length (Paris point) | one size = 2/3 cm |
Korea and Japan size by foot length, while US, UK and EU sizes come from the length of the last the shoe is built on, so the systems never line up exactly. This chart follows the conventions common on retailer and sportswear size charts (men’s 250 mm = US 7, women’s 240 mm = US 7, 5 mm = half a size).
Examples
- Men’s US 9 = UK 8 = EU 42.5 = 27 cm (Japan) = 270 mm (Korea)
- Women’s US 7 = UK 5 = EU 38 = 24 cm = 240 mm
- Kids’ 10C (toddler) = UK 9.5 = 16 cm — US kids’ sizes restart at 1Y (youth) after 13.5C.
Things to watch
- Brands differ by half to a full size. For the same foot, one brand may recommend US 9 and another US 9.5, and UK sizes run either a half or a full size below US depending on the brand. Always check the brand’s own chart.
- Measure in the evening, wearing the socks you’ll use, from heel to the tip of your longest toe — and go by the longer foot.
- Wide or high-volume feet often need half a size up from the length-based size.

How do women’s and men’s US sizes compare?
