How to use
- Drop PNG files onto the box or click to choose them. Just took a screenshot? Paste it with Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac).
- Check each image’s size and whether it has transparency, then fix the order with the arrows or Sort by name.
- Pick page size, margin and placement. Turn on Fill transparent areas with white if you need to.
- Press Create PDF and download the result.
How PNGs go into the PDF
PNG is lossless, which is why text in screenshots stays crisp. This tool never converts your PNGs to JPG — the pixels are stored in the PDF as they are, so small print in screenshots and charts looks exactly like the original.
| Kind of PNG | Result |
|---|---|
| Opaque PNG (most screenshots) | Pixels embedded as-is |
| PNG with transparent areas | Pixels plus an alpha channel (SMask), so transparency is kept |
| Transparent PNG with “fill with white” on | Composited onto white, embedded without transparency |
| Animated PNG (APNG) | First frame only |
PDF viewers show pages on white paper, so a preserved transparent background usually looks white on screen anyway. The difference shows when the PDF is layered over another design, or sent to a print shop or portal that rejects transparency — that’s when to turn on “fill with white”.
Choosing a page size
| Goal | Suggested settings |
|---|---|
| Keep or share screenshots as they are | Same as image (1920×1080 → a 20×11.25 in page) |
| A school or work report | Letter or A4, orientation Auto, 10 mm margin, Fit whole image |
| Wide, slide-like images | Letter or A4, Landscape |
“Same as image” treats one pixel as 1/96 inch.
Things to know
- Everything runs in your browser; files are never uploaded.
- Inside a PDF, PNG pixels are recompressed with a different method (Flate), so the PDF can end up a little larger than the original PNGs. If size matters, try Compress PDF.
- For mostly photographic images, JPG to PDF with JPG files gives much smaller results.
- iPhone HEIC photos are not supported.
