How to use
- Pick a date and add 2 to 5 participating cities with Add a city. The page starts with San Francisco, New York and London.
- The result at the top shows the best meeting time in the first (base) city, followed by the local time in every other city. Use Copy to paste it straight into an invite.
- The 24-hour grid below shows what time it is in each city for every hour of the base city’s day. Press Make base on another city to line the columns up with its hours instead. On a phone, swipe the grid sideways.
Reading the grid
| Mark | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green cell | Office hours, 9:00 to 18:00 (6 PM onwards counts as after hours) |
| Grey cell | Early morning 7–9 or evening 18–22 |
| Plain cell | Night, 22:00 to 7:00 |
| Orange border and ✓ | Every city is within office hours |
| ⁺¹ / ⁻¹ | That local time falls on the next or previous day |
When there is no full overlap, each hour is scored — office hours 2 points, early or late 1 point, night 0 — and the highest-scoring hours are suggested.
Example
| Date | San Francisco | New York | London | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Oct 5, 2026 | 9:00 AM (PDT) | 12:00 PM (EDT) | 5:00 PM (BST) | Everyone in office hours |
| Oct 28, 2026 | 9:00 AM (PDT) | 12:00 PM (EDT) | 4:00 PM (GMT) | Still fine, one hour earlier in London |
Europe ends daylight saving time a week before the US, so for that week London is only 7 hours ahead of San Francisco instead of 8. Always plan with the actual meeting date — the overlap can appear or disappear when clocks change.
Things to keep in mind
- Office hours are fixed at 9:00–18:00. Check lunch breaks, weekends and public holidays separately.
- Half-hour zones such as India (UTC+5:30) show minutes in the cell, e.g. “9:30”.
- For a quick two-city comparison, use the time difference calculator. To share a fixed meeting time in several zones, use the time zone converter.
FAQ
Are my cities saved?
Yes, in this browser only, so they are still there next time. Nothing is sent to a server.
What happens on a daylight saving changeover day?
Each column is a real moment in time, so on the day the base city changes its clocks, one hour is skipped or repeated in its row.
